This thing sounds hella-cool . . . a golf-ball-sized ultrasound device with a handle that would be used to scan for internal injuries and, with a few settings adjustments, to patch them via precise and localized ultrasonic heating of the blood into a seal.

If it can be used on cancer cells, as the article suggests, it might be a better way than lipo to help get rid of a lot of the fat many in this country have to help with the health problems from that. But, I wonder about tightening up the skin, if it'd do it on its own, like when someone looses weight with diet an exercise.
That last 5% mentioned that couldn't be solved by the beam must be pretty substantial then, if they're fixing 95% of them.

I'm more interested in the implications of utilizing this technology with micro surgery... Could you imagine how little we would have to do invasive procedures for a lot of our more common problem?. Indeed, no doubt about it, McCoy would be pleased.
